Workshop Overview


Are you a recently graduated geoscientist, student or field assistant?

Are you responsible for supervising new, young or seasonal workers in the field?


This workshop is for you.


The AME Environment, Health & Safety Committee presents an annual workshop on

an introduction to exploration safety. This workshop is particularly designed for

students and recently graduated geoscientists who may be active in remote areas in

British Columbia and throughout western and northern Canada.

The influx of relatively inexperienced field assistants and geoscientists who head

into the field work environment each summer adds risk. Our goal is to draw

attention to safety awareness and strategies, particularly with respect to young

Thinking about how to look after less experienced personnel
